Neighborhood, Nature, Community, Wine

Portland, Oregon is a fantastic and eclectic composition of neighborhoods each with a uniqueness all its own. Portlanders embrace local and independent retailers, brewers, and restaurants. This has become our calling card. Alas, wineries have yet to make a significant impact at the local level.
While traveling 45 minutes out of town can get you into the heart of the lush and appealing Willamette Valley’s award-winning mega wineries, there are few options to experience a truly local, urban neighborhood winery. Caelestis Cellars intends to help plug this hole.
In 2023, Caelestis will change the script on customer service for our Founder’s Circle members (available fall 2023) by bringing the tasting room experience to your door. Gone are the impersonal mass shipping deliveries or miles of traffic just to get the opportunity to talk directly to the winery. Each Founder’s Circle membership delivery within the Portland metro area will be from our very own team members, most likely Kim or me, the winery owners. These deliveries include a personal tasting with all of the relevant information of each bottle discussed directly with you.
Another fundamental value to Caelestis Cellars is community. To us, community means respectfully engaging with our neighbors and supporting other local businesses. Community also means appreciating and honoring our natural environment by using responsible manufacturing practices, sourcing grapes from growers who share these values, and eventually becoming a zero-landfill producer. In the coming years, we intend to become a Certified B-Corporation as a way to demonstrate how important this aspect of the winery is.
At Caelestis Cellars, we aspire to build connections with our community by enjoying a glass of wine with our friends, neighbors, and guests from far away. Settle in, have a taste, and share a laugh with us.
Every day is a drink-the-good-wine day!
There are currently 135+ Certified B Corporations in Oregon of which only seven are wineries. Caelestis Cellars aspires to build on this growing movement with a commitment to socially, environmentally, and community-minded approaches to the way we operate. This, we believe, is both critical and foundational in how we do business.
“Certified B Corporations are a new kind of business that balances purpose and profit. They are legally required to consider the impact of their decisions on their workers, customers, suppliers, community, and the environment. This is a community of leaders, driving a global movement of people using business as a force for good.” -B Lab Global
