Two Rosés Make For A Blooming Spring

Hello, friends!

Happy Earth Day! I hope your spring days are coming up daffodils.

Earth Day is the perfect day to celebrate the bounty of nature and the bursting of spring. Nothing says spring like a beautiful Pinot Noir Rosé. Lucky for you, we now have two!

Please meet our 2022 Pinot Noir Rosé. Like our 2021 Pinot Noir Rosé, this beauty was sourced from 40-year-old vines at the Barnes Vineyard in the Chehalem Mountains AVA, part of the larger Willamette Valley AVA. You may remember being introduced to the Barnes family last year. They have the most lovely small vineyard that boasts sweeping views of the valley and perfectly delicate Oregon Pinot Noir grapes.

Our 2022 Pinot Noir Rosé is delightfully unexpected and stands on her own from her 2021 sister. The grapes spent six hours on their skins prior to pressing, imparting a pink-grapefruit color then fermented in stainless steel until the wine became dry. 2022 Rosé has 2021’s light floral aroma and notes of bright strawberry, then she steps forward with a playful watermelon essence. Such a fun wine! This wine pairs elegantly with strawberries sliced over chevre, grilled heritage chicken, or a watercress and almond salad.

As one of our Founder’s Club members said at our release party earlier this month, “I love the 2021 Rosé and now I love the 2022 Rosé even more!” This wine is a gem.

If you too are feeling playful, try these two Pinot Noir Rosés side-by-side for a fun comparison.
